Local students attend Inspiration Day at Carrow Road
Norwich City FC CEO Jez Moxey took part in a question and answer session with students from three schools across Norfolk at Carrow Road on Wednesday.
The pupils, who are taking part in the Premier League Enterprise programme, had the opportunity to ask the Chief Executive questions about his career, his recent move to Norwich City FC and future business plans.
The Enterprise programme, which is delivered by the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) and supported by Aviva, gives students the opportunity to organise, prepare and run a fundraising event.
On the day, close to 70 students attended a series of business orientated workshops which were delivered by key Norwich City FC and CSF staff including CSF Fundraising Officer Emma Fletcher, Club Content Manager Ben Mouncer and Communications Assistant Charlotte Foster (pictured below, left).
Charlotte, a former Premier League Enterprise Challenge finalist, attended an Inspiration Day at the club in 2012. She explained to the pupils how the Enterprise programme has helped her to land her current job role at Norwich City Football Club.
Students were also treated to a behind-the-scenes ground tour where they got to visit the first team changing rooms, the trophy cabinet and the press room.
Enterprise Coordinator Mark Woodcock said:
“The Inspiration Day not only helped students to expand their business knowledge but also put them in touch with the day to day running of Norwich City FC.
“A special thank you to Jez Moxey for being a part of the event. The Q&A session gave pupils a brilliant opportunity to ask questions about the football club and has hopefully inspired them to think more widely about their own event.”
The schools in attendance were:
Northgate High School, Dereham
Wymondham High Academy, Wymondham
Ormiston Venture Academy, Gorleston
