Driving inclusion for people with disabilities | Norwich City Community Sports Foundation
Share

20% of people in Norfolk have a disability, which is higher than the national average

Without access to services that meet their needs, they are at risk of poor physical and mental health.

The Community Sports Foundation provides inclusive environments that meet the needs of local people with disabilities so that they may enjoy the physical, mental, and social benefits of sport.

Without vital fundraising this work would stop, and many across Norfolk would be deprived of our support.

Sports sessions

Sports sessions

We provide a range of opportunities for people with disabilities to take part in sport, including football, swimming, dance, and more.

Our sessions provide an inclusive environment for people to enjoy sport at a comfortable pace.

Experiences through Norwich City FC

We provide opportunities for people with disabilities to watch Norwich City FC in action and have football coaching sessions at our Carrow Park facility.

These experiences help to boost physical wellbeing and social skills, while creating long-lasting memories.

“He’s understood here. It gives him the chance to socialise with kids his age and to learn new skills, whilst also giving him the opportunity to be active and not behind a screen.”

Seventeen-year-old Charlie Pinner has been a participant with the Community Sports Foundation for over nine years now.

During this time, he has benefitted from nearly 200 sessions across the Foundation’s programmes.
