Nest plays host to Premier League Kicks U16 Regional Cup competition.

Monday 3rd of April 2023 saw the Premier League Kicks U16 Regional Cup take place at The Nest.

Representative sides from Luton, Stevenage, Colchester, Peterborough, MK Dons, Cambridge United and Norwich City took part in Girls’ and Mixed football tournaments.

The Premier League-funded programme was also given the pleasure of hosting a very special guest in the form of the Premier League trophy!

Alongside the footballing festivities, the event also saw a number of workshops throughout the day including bird-feeder making with the help of Norfolk Wildlife Trust and first aid talks from British Red Cross.

The sides would play a round-robin style group stage of the competition before the top placing teams progressed to the knockouts.

Ultimately it would be Norwich and Luton in the Girls final and Luton and Stevenage in the Mixed final, with Norwich girls and Luton mixed emerging victorious!

The tournament also issued ‘fair play’ awards to Colchester for their outstanding attitude throughout the tournament and embodying what Premier League Kicks is all about.

All finalists received an official Premier League match ball and PL Kicks Nike hoodie to take home.

Well done to everybody that took part in a brilliant all-round day.
