Today is the EFL’s Day of Action, and 72 clubs from around the country are coming together to demonstrate the impact football can have in positively changing people’s lives.
Norwich Community Sports Foundation are taking the opportunity to celebrate the success of our disability dance troupe the CSF Allstars, as they make their final preparations for a showcase event in Birmingham at the weekend.
The group, who have a range of disabilities, come together on Monday evenings at Carrow Park to practise under the watchful eyes of dance teachers Georgia Skipper and Lisa Chapman.
On Saturday, the troupe will head to Arena Birmingham to take part in an event organised by Legacy Cheer & Dance Ltd, alongside hundreds of other dancers from across England and abroad, and will take part in the special athlete section.
It’s not the first time that some of the dancers have performed on the big stage; back in 2017 the group travelled to London to take part in a similar event at the Copper Box Arena.
Coach Lisa Chapman shared her pride in the group at their session on Monday night:
“I’m so proud of this group; they have come so far and we’re really looking forward to the big day on Saturday.”
Her thoughts were echoed by coach Georgia Skipper:
“They have worked really hard to learn this routine and I’m sure they’re going to smash it!”
The group is funded by the Premier League/BT Disability Fund and takes place on Monday evenings at Carrow Park between 5:30pm-6:30pm, with 17 regular attendees.

In addition to the disability dance troupe, the Foundation has a range of disability programmes such as football sessions for people with cerebral palsy or hearing impairments, as well as supporting Norwich City Powerchair FC.
