Community Sports Foundation disability teams experience that “away-day fixture” feeling...

Teams from the Community Sports Foundation’s disability programmes got to experience that “away-day fixture” feeling with two cross-country trips last weekend.

On the Saturday, the U16 pan-disability team visited Manchester. There, ten youngsters representing the Canaries enjoyed a fixture against their counterparts from the Manchester United Foundation, before heading to Old Trafford to watch the Premier League encounter between the two clubs. Match tickets were kindly donated by the hosts.

Last October, the Red Devils’ disability teams visited Carrow Road to watch the first encounter between the sides, where they enjoyed the same pre-match fixture and warm welcome.

Sunday saw the adult pan-disability team make the 346-mile round trip to Birmingham. The team were invited by the West Bromwich Albion Foundation to take part in a series of friendlies against the hosts and other local sides.
