Over 40 schools take part in Foundation tournaments to determine Norwich City FC representatives

Woodlands Primary Academy and Little Plumstead CE VA Primary will represent Norwich City Football Club, following recent successes in tournaments held at The Nest.

Over 450 participants pulled on their school colours across four days of tournaments in the hope that their school would win the right to represent the Canaries at the Premier League Primary Stars national final in May.

The Mixed U11 tournament concluded with first-time winners Little Plumstead defeating Hillcrest Primary – you can see the moment they lifted their trophy below:

On February 11, Woodlands Primary from Bradwell won the girls-only tournament, edging out Norwich’s Firside Junior School in the final.

The Premier League Primary Stars football tournament is the country’s most prestigious football tournament for primary schools.

Little Plumstead and Woodlands Primary will now go on to represent Norwich City FC for the National Finals at Watford FC’s Vicarage Road stadium on May 17, where they’ll be joined by the 19 other Premier League representative winners.

"The way you guys made the whole day seem so special was incredible. Just after the boys walked out to the premier league music for the final, one of them said "I will remember this day for the rest of my life!""
