The Foundation and the club's work in the community will be celebrated this Saturday

Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with AFC Bournemouth is Community Day, as we celebrate the work of Norwich City Community Sports Foundation and the club to support local people.

Since the start of the pandemic, the Foundation have worked tirelessly to innovate and maintain the connection with the broad range of people it works with, as well as boosting the wider community response alongside the club through the Canaries Covid-19 Community Support Project.

In recent weeks the Foundation also marked the completion of construction at its community hub The Nest, thanks to a campaign that raised £4.6million of funding and fundraising.

The new building and 3G pitch at the site have added significantly to the existing facilities and it is expected to increase the Foundation’s reach by 12,000 people each year.

The Foundation’s impact

Using sport to boost people’s health and wellbeing, as well as using the power of Norwich City to engage and inspire, the Foundation’s work is extensive and reaches many different groups.
