The Community Sports Foundation is proud to shine a spotlight on WSG Energy Services, whose continued support over the past two years has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our Realising Potential Ambassadors programme.
Realising Potential is the Foundation’s inclusive disability and SEND programme, designed to empower young people and adults with additional needs to build confidence, develop life skills and unlock opportunities for the future. Behind the scenes, partners like WSG play a vital role in making this work possible.
Since first coming on board in 2024, WSG have fully embraced their partnership. Their hands-on approach has seen the team regularly connect with the programme, taking time to meet and get to know the participants to understand where they can add real value.
One standout moment came when WSG colleagues delivered a CV writing workshop, giving participants practical tools and advice to support their prospects. Sessions like this help to build more than just skills. It built belief and confidence and helped participants to see what’s possible and plan for their futures.
In January 2026 WSG’s commitment went beyond their partnership. The company extended their support by backing the inaugural Foundation Awards, helping to celebrate the incredible achievements of participants and volunteers across the Foundation. Their involvement ensured that the successes of those engaged with the Foundation were recognised with a special and memorable evening.
More recently, in May, WSG were invited to join our Realising Potential Ambassadors for a landmark moment, as they presented Norwich City captain Kenny McLean with the PFA Community Champion Award. It was a fitting occasion that highlighted the power of football to bring people together and celebrate positive impact both on and off the pitch.
Partnerships like this are about so much more than funding. They are about shared values, genuine engagement and a belief in the potential of every individual. The Foundation would like to thank WSG for this invaluable support.
