Youth Voice Council

In 2025, the Foundation formed our first ever Youth Voice Council – a group of fourteen young people all with the same collective goal of bettering our community.

Our Youth Voice councillors share a passion for supporting the Foundation’s work. As a group, they represent the younger generation in Norfolk.

Together, the Youth Voice Council offer a fresh perspective on upcoming and potential developments at the Foundation, giving senior staff members an alternate viewpoint to consider and take forwards.

Being part of the Council offers members the chance to grow in confidence, build teamwork and communication skills, and develop abilities in debating, public speaking, and idea sharing. It also empowers them to speak up and help shape positive change across the Foundation and the wider community.

Meet our 2025 Youth Voice Councillors!

Each Council member represents a different Foundation department and is aligned with a staff mentor who’s there to offer advice, guidance, and encouragement along the way.

Make a change to your community

Looking to make positive change for young people in your community? Our Youth Voice Councillors want to hear from you.
*Survey closes on 24th November*
At the Foundation, we’re always eager to hear new ideas and gain fresh views to inform our projects and plans. We believe that young people’s voices should play a central role in our decision-making.
That’s why our Youth Voice Council have worked together to create a social action survey, where young people across Norfolk can put forward their ideas to improve and better the Foundation’s provision.

Ideas can vary – whether it’s the concept for a brand new project, or simply adaptions to current programmes and facilities, the Youth Voice Council would love to hear from you.

The Council first came together in July for a residential at The Nest, where members worked alongside their Foundation mentor to create their own development plan. They also took part in team-building exercises and discussions, exploring their goals and aspirations for what they hope to achieve as a Council.

In October, the Council played Padel where they were treated to a surprise visit from City legend Tim Krul and finalised the questions they wanted to include in their Foundation survey.
