Over three immersive days, 23 young players took part in the Foundation’s Boys Train Like a Pro Residential at The Nest, experiencing high‑level coaching, match scenarios, development workshops, skill challenges, and a behind‑the‑scenes tour of Carrow Road – all designed to replicate a professional environment. The group also enjoyed time on the new padel courts at The Nest, adding a fast‑paced, fun element to their off‑pitch development.
A standout moment came on Monday afternoon, when Norwich City midfielder Mirko Topić joined the group. He oversaw matches and skill challenges, offered pitch‑side advice, took part in a Q&A, and joined in celebrations throughout the session. Mirko rounded off his visit by signing autographs and posing for photos, creating a memorable highlight for everyone involved.
Mirko also popped in to meet participants on week six of Football Holiday Camps at The Nest, joining young players for a light‑hearted Q&A before staying for photos and autographs. The camps run throughout the school holidays for ages 5-13 across Norfolk, and will return in the October half-term.
