Norwich City Community Sports Foundation Secures £90,000 Grant from Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund

Norwich City Community Sports Foundation is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a grant from the Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund (BFF). Valued at £90,000 the grant will be allocated to MyClub, a fan-focussed volunteer programme which aims to give Norwich City fans and avid volunteers a way to get more involved with their club, whilst supporting their community.

It is one of nine new grants to be awarded in the first round of funding of the 2025/26 season, as part of Sky Bet’s six-season commitment to supporting community-focused initiatives across the country. The Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund, with an annual allocation of £1 million, provides crucial support to EFL Club Charities delivering impactful social and community projects.

The news of the grant will help to have huge positive implications for MyClub. Jenna LaRiviere, the Foundation’s Volunteer Manager, said:

“Since launching in June 2024, MyClub has welcomed over 100 volunteers each week to support our football and community programmes. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds, each with their own reasons for joining, but sharing a common goal: helping the Community Sports Foundation reach its objectives of driving inclusion for people with disabilities, boosting mental health and wellbeing, and supporting disadvantaged people to raise their aspirations.

“We are incredibly grateful for Sky Bet EFL’s generous grant, which will help grow MyClub over the next three years. This funding will enable us to reach underrepresented groups, provide essential training to upskill our volunteers, and offer meaningful rewards that will strengthen volunteers’ connections to both the Foundation and Norwich City Football Club.”

This award follows a highly competitive application process in which all 72 EFL clubs were invited to submit funding proposals. Last season, Accrington Stanley received the first £100,000 grant, which was used to fund the development of a new community 3G pitch at the Stanley Sports Hub, benefiting both residents and the wider community.

The Sky Bet EFL Building Foundations Fund continues to play a vital role in supporting projects that focus on social inclusion, employability, and community engagement. We are grateful to Sky Bet and the EFL for their ongoing support and look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of this initiative.
