Sixteen-year-old Charlotte Pernet was announced as a Norwich City Women’s player on Tuesday 19th September after graduating from the Foundation’s Girls Football pathway.
Charlotte joined the Foundation at the age of nine and has been coached by the likes of Summer Ward and Megan Todd during her journey.
The holding midfielder joins fellow pathway alumni, Lauren Hailes, who recently returned to the Canaries from Ipswich Town Ladies during the summer and made her first team full debut on Sunday 17th September.
With Eloise Morran making the same leap last season to join a number of other graduates in the first team, the side is now assembled of an astonishing 61% Girls’ pathway alumni.
Girls’ & Women’s Football Development Manager Megan Todd said:
“It is always a special moment for the Foundation when a player transitions into the Norwich City Women’s team.
“We are so proud of Lauren making her full senior debut against Haywards Heath and Charlotte signing for the senior team and we are really excited to see their development continue with Norwich City Women.”
