Players across the Foundation’s Football Development Programme enjoyed an exciting May half‑term, filled with competitive fixtures, team experiences and a standout trip to the Women’s FA Cup Final.
Girls from the Foundation’s ETC (FA Emerging Talent Centre) opened the week with a lively futsal event against Ipswich Town involving U9, U10 and U11 players.
The Advanced Development Centre squads also faced Ipswich, with age groups U9 to U16 involved, while the Development Centres met Lincoln City in a strong set of fixtures.
A group of 14 girls enjoyed a special residential linked to the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final. The weekend brought time together at Thorpe Park before heading to Wembley for an unforgettable matchday experience, watching Manchester City claim victory over Brighton.
The Foundation’s boys programme also enjoyed a packed schedule, with Development Centre players aged U9 to U14 heading to the Midlands. The group took in a guided tour of Leicester City’s King Power Stadium and a visit to Ninja Warrior UK, before fixtures against Shrewsbury, Ipswich and Colchester. Meanwhile, the boys ADC travelled to London for two days of fixtures against Chelsea.
The Nest held internal development days across the boys, girls and goalkeeper pathways to conclude a busy May half‑term for the Foundation’s Football Development Programme.
