Story added: 19th June 2026
On Wednesday 1st July, The Nest will play host to the Community Sports Foundation’s community coach recruitment event for young adults aged 18+, as we seek to find keen and aspiring coaches looking to take on some summer coaching across our sports provision and programmes.
Running from 18:00 to 20:00 in our Inspire space at The Nest, the event will feature a mix of outdoor and indoor activities, creating both a welcoming and interactive environment for attendees. The session will be supported by our Community, Schools and Inclusion teams here at the Foundation, who will help guide the evening and support networking throughout.
The event is designed to give attendees a clear insight into casual coaching opportunities across the Foundation’s programmes and summer provision, such as our Football Holiday Camps.
The Foundation is seeking enthusiastic, committed coaches to join our team this summer – who’s in?
This event is targeted at our COMMUNITY, HALF-TERM and WEEKEND coaches groups – please see below to find out more about these coaching groups.
18:00–18:10 — Arrival & Refreshments Guests will be welcomed into The Nest’s Inspire space for registration and light refreshments, with Foundation staff on hand to greet attendees.
18:10–18:30 — Welcome Presentation
A presentation led by the Community, Schools and Inclusion departments will introduce the Foundation’s coaching philosophy and programme structure.
18:30–19:15 — Practical coaching activity
Attendees will then take to the 3G pitches for a practical workshop led by Foundation staff, to see first-hand how coaching is delivered at the Foundation.
19:15–20:00 — Networking & food
The event concludes back in Inspire, with attendees having the opportunity to speak to key staff and ask key questions, as well as some informal interviews. Food and refreshments will also be provided.
We’re looking for young people aged 18+ to join our team of community coaches. Ideal candidates should be motivated, driven individuals with an interest in sport and a passion for bettering their community.
At the Foundation, we emphasise values‑driven coaching, positive role modelling, and a commitment to helping young people thrive both on and off the pitch.
Worry that other commitments or hobbies may get in the way? Fear not! The hours you choose to commit to coaching can be completely flexible and we can work around your schedule.

Those attending the recruitment evening can look forward to:
