Decision part of a wider partnership between the League and Foundation

The Norfolk & Suffolk Youth League has released its cup final dates for 2022, with Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s hub The Nest in Horsford to play host.

The finals will take place on two dates – Sunday 10th April and Sunday 24th April – with further details for each age group to be released nearer the time.

The move to the impressive new venue is part of a wider partnership between the League and Foundation, which will aim to increase opportunities for local players to benefit from the facilities at The Nest, such as the grass pitches, residential spaces, and physio services (provided by Recover Physio).

Shaun Platten, Chairman of the Norfolk & Suffolk Youth League, said:

“The NSYL are proud to be in partnership with the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation and I’m sure the clubs and their players will enjoy the experience of playing at The Nest in a fun and safe environment.

“The NSYL and Foundation partnership can only enhance and showcase grassroots at its best; we look forward to working together on future initiatives and thank the Foundation for all their help and support.”

Ian Thornton, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer said:

“We’re delighted that The Nest will be the host of the finals and we’re looking forward to a couple of great days in April 2022.

“The Nest is a great place to play and watch football, so we hope there will be a good attendance during the finals. We are excited to welcome players, supporters, and officials from the Norfolk & Suffolk Youth League.”
