Following a hugely successful first term at The Nest, the Foundation’s Home Education PE Programme will return in May for Block 2, with limited spaces now available.
Block 1 launched in January and has quickly become a highlight of the week for home‑educated children across Norfolk. The sessions have offered a welcoming space to stay active, build confidence and enjoy high-quality PE using the brilliant facilities at The Nest. Families have travelled from far and wide to take part, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
One parent said: “The programme the Community Sports Foundation runs for Home Education students is fantastic. My daughter absolutely loves it and looks forward to it every week. We travel a 100‑mile round trip, which shows how much we value it. The facilities are state of the art – better than many schools – and the children are so lucky to have this available.”
Another added: “Our child has been really enjoying the sessions, which is amazing as she’s never been a fan of PE. The coaches have been so welcoming, and the sessions are inclusive, allowing children to play at their own pace.”
Block 2 will continue the same successful approach, offering weekly sessions every Monday (11am-12pm) focused on multi‑skills, teamwork, communication and fundamental fitness, all delivered by Foundation coaches in a supportive, friendly environment.
There will be three groups for children aged 4–16, with activities shaped around PE-style sessions including outdoor football, athletics, handball and fitness sessions in The Box.
With Block 1 proving so popular, families are encouraged to book early for the new block starting Monday 11 May.
