Help #BuildTheNest by purchasing a personalised engraved granite stone

The Community Sports Foundation (CSF) have launched an exciting fundraising initiative for their new community sports hub in North Norwich.

The ‘Walkway @ The Nest’ gives individuals or organisations the chance to enshrine their support for the project with a personalised granite stone.

Collectively, the stones will form a landscaped area that will feature at the heart of The Nest.

It is hoped the initiative will raise a significant amount for the #BuildTheNest campaign, which aims to raise £2.5 million in public fundraising.

Jackie Thornton from CSF said that the opportunity was a unique and affordable way for individuals or businesses to support the project:

“We’ve been overwhelmed with the enthusiasm of a whole cross-section of people and organisations in Norwich and Norfolk since we first brought our plans for The Nest to light.

“We wanted to give people something tangible in return for their support and donations, plus a way that they could be a part of the site itself – the Walkway is the perfect solution to this.

“Once compete, the Walkway will be a permanent reminder of the individuals, organisations and businesses who helped to make The Nest a reality, and their generosity.”

There are three different sizes available, including a standard small stone (priced at just £60) and a larger premium option suitable for businesses and organisations.

The engraved stones are being produced with Your Tribute Limited, who have worked on similar projects with the likes of Liverpool Football Club and Arsenal Football Club.

Each stone will be engraved, and permanently installed into the artwork floor in batches, commencing in 2020.

Stones can be purchased from the following link: https://www.thenestwalkway.co.uk/ & queries sent to [email protected].

Build The Nest campaign

The Foundation’s #BuildTheNest campaign officially launched in February.

The estimated £9.4m project, funded entirely separately from Norwich City Football Club, will see the construction of an indoor sports hall, gym, floodlit 3G football pitch, and classroom facilities, added to the initial work at the site, which has included the relaying of seven grass football pitches.

Located at the site of the former Anglian Windows Sports and Social Club, on Holt Road, The Nest will boost social mobility, tackle inactivity, and improve health and wellbeing – engaging with up to 12,000 people a year across the Foundation’s areas of impact such as:
