Foundation fundraisers raise over £7000 by running the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

On Sunday 12th April, sixteen spirited Foundation fundraisers took to the capital for the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

A 21-kilometre run through the heart of the English capital, the London Landmarks Half Marathon takes its runners along the banks of the iconic River Thames, taking in breathtakingly beautiful scenery and landmarks, such as the London Eye, Big Ben and St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Our sixteen charity runners have all spent the last nine months hosting bake sales, quiz nights and plenty of other fundraising activations, in order to accumulate life-changing funds for the Community Sports Foundation.

In total, our super sixteen managed to raise a total northwards of £7000, a truly sensational amount.

By running for the Foundation, they have helped to better the lives of people living with disabilities and disadvantages across Norfolk and beyond, as well as allowing the charity to grow and improve its facilities and programmes.

Foundation Events Manager Roxanne Bates was quick to highlight the outstanding contribution of this year’s runners:

“Our London Landmarks runners have truly done us proud – by taking on this half-marathon, they’ve helped to have a monumental impact on the Foundation’s work, making our wonderful community even better today than it was yesterday.

“Their fundraising efforts simply cannot be overlooked – every penny raised goes such a long way. Congratulations to all sixteen of you.”
