Story added: 3rd July 2025
On Sunday 29 June, over 140 cyclists of all ages and abilities gathered bright and early at Carrow Road, the home of Norwich City Football Club, to take part in the Foundation’s Cycle Swarm.
Riders had the option to take on one of three scenic, circular routes; 25-miles, 50-miles or, new to 2025, an epic 100-mile route.
Luckily, the weather played ball. While the forecast threatened blazing sun, the day thankfully turned out to be pleasantly warm and overcast – perfect riding conditions (apart from the uninvited cloud of midges that decided to tag along for the ride!).
It was wonderful to see cyclists choosing to take part alongside friends and families as well as bringing loved ones for support – joining Foundation staff and volunteers in a chorus of cheers as they crossed the finish line.

An enormous thank you to the following key supporters:
Recognition also needs to be paid to the incredible army of MyClub volunteers who make all of the Foundation’s fundraising events a roaring success. These volunteers were diligently on hand at rest stops, offering support, sustenance, water, encouragement and made sure all riders stayed safely on course.

And last, but certainly by no means least, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part – especially those who went the extra mile by fundraising on top of completing their ride.
Thanks to your incredible efforts, Cycle Swarm 2024 raised over £5,500 in support of the Foundation’s vital programmes, helping to transform the lives of disadvantaged individuals across our region.
