Delivering a pathway where likeminded, local, talented footballers can maximise their personal progression both on and off the pitch.

Objectives

We deliver our Boys’ Football Development Programme across a two-tier system, through the Elite Player Development Centre (EPDC) and the Player Development Centre (PDC).

The Elite Player Development Centre offers players the chance to train twice a week at a central Norwich venue, with selected EPDC players of similar potential.

A comprehensive fixture programme forms a key part of the EPDC.

To date, the fixture programme has included matches against the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Swansea City, Stoke City and Watford.

EPDC goalkeepers will attend weekly sessions with their respective squads, where they will receive technical coaching and coaching in matchplay scenarios from our goalkeeping staff.

The Player Development Centre offers players the chance to receive quality technical coaching sessions at venues situated in key areas around Norfolk and North Suffolk.

This year we have venues in Norwich, Cromer, Dereham, Gorleston, Lowestoft, and Watton.

While the primary focus of the PDC is to deliver a technical training programme, there will be select opportunities for players to represent the PDC in fixtures.

PDC goalkeepers have the chance to attend weekly sessions at one of our four goalkeeper hub sites – Norwich, Gorleston, Dereham and Lowestoft – to train alongside other goalkeepers of similar potential.

Ryan's story

Ryan's story

Ryan Hunt has had a passion for football since he can first remember, and always dreamed of one day becoming a sports coach.

His talent on the pitch saw him involved with the Boys’ EPDC. However, severely dyslexic, Ryan struggled in the classroom.

Following extensive support from the Foundation’s Education team, Ryan achieved above expectation and was offered a bespoke apprenticeship to become a support coach and is now a full-time CSF Community Sports Coach.
