The Boys’ Football & Education Pathway U5-U16 is designed to help young talented male footballers reach their full potential through football.
Objectives
We deliver our Boys’ Football & Education Pathway for U5-U16 across a tiered system, which includes our Development Centre, Advanced Development Centre and Technical Centre.
We also provide the opportunity for older boys to continue their education alongside training and fixture programmes in our Football & Education Programme for U17-U19s.
These 1 hour sessions are designed for U5 and U6 players who’ve shown promising skills and a passion for the game.
These sessions offer a focused, high-quality coaching environment where identified young players can continue to grow their technical ability, confidence, and love for football.
It functions as a pathway into our Development Centre for younger players.
This programme is currently delivered at key venues in Norwich and Diss – our coaches tailor sessions to challenge and inspire, helping each child take their next steps in the game.
The Development Centre offers players the chance to receive quality weekly 1.5 hour technical coaching sessions at venues situated in key areas around Norfolk and North Suffolk. Its starts at U6 and goes through to U16.
Sessions are delivered at venues in Norwich, Aylsham, Dereham, Gorleston, Heacham, Lowestoft, Thetford and Wymondham.
While the primary focus of the DC is to deliver a technical training programme, there will be select opportunities for players to represent the DC in fixtures.
The Advanced Development Centre which starts at U8 and goes through to U16 offers players the chance to train twice a week at a central Norwich venue, with selected players of similar potential.
A comprehensive fixture programme forms a key part of the ADC.
To date, the fixture programme has included matches against the likes of Chelsea, Watford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Queens Park Rangers.
Goalkeepers will attend weekly sessions with their respective squads, where they will receive technical coaching and coaching in matchplay scenarios from our goalkeeping staff.
Players ranging from under-5 to under-16 are invited to taster evenings with the Community Sports Foundation.
Held at various locations across Norfolk, the evenings are for players not currently involved in our Football Development Programme pathway.
If you can’t find a taster session listed, please email [email protected] and one of our football leads will be in touch.
