The fixture, which has become somewhat of an annual tradition, saw players from our various Football and Education programmes band together to face our Down’s syndrome football team in a friendly match.
Whilst the only real competitiveness resided between the two coaches, Stevie Bramble and Darren Hunter, the game gave both sides an opportunity to embrace and socialise with those from different backgrounds in a fun and safe environment familiar to them all.
Great goals were scored and even better celebrations were displayed throughout the morning.
Disability Development Manager, Darren, commented on the occasion in the video below:
"It was so great to meet so many new people in such a fun environment, and seeing how much they really value football!"
