The Community Sports Foundation’s ‘On The Buzzer, City!’ quiz was back in force at Carrow Road last night.
The eighth annual event, kindly sponsored by Arcadia Home Interiors, welcomed close to three hundred quizzers all with two common goals: to support the Community Sports Foundation, and lift the famous ‘On the Buzzer, City!’ winners’ trophy.
Once again hosting the proceedings were perennially entertaining duo Adrian Forbes (ex-Norwich City FC) and Rob Butler (BBC Norfolk), who led the teams through nine rounds of quizzing action.
With 49 teams vying for the top spot, and a number of former winners among them, it was set to be a closely fought contest.

Among the rounds were video questions from current and ex-Norwich City FC players including Simon Lappin, Carlton Morris, Adam Drury and Kenny McLean, while this year’s Mystery Guest round featured City centre-back Christoph Zimmermann.
A stellar score of 90 out of 103 by team Forces2Canaries – buoyed by perfect music, sport & table rounds – was eventually enough to secure victory.
It was a first ‘On the Buzzer, City!’ victory for the Canaries’ fan group, and they bagged themselves a prize haul that included Norwich City FC tickets and mugs, a signed shirt and ball, and of course, the chance to lift the famous quiz trophy.
Away from the quizzing action, the showing of a BT Sport feature on the Norwich City Powerchair Football Club, presented by CSF Trustee Jake Humphrey, helped remind everyone of the evening’s great cause.
A balloon raffle, post-quiz auction and head ‘n’ tails game boosted the night’s impressive fundraising total to £5,818.24.
The money will be used to support the #BuildTheNest campaign – the Foundation’s exciting project to build a groundbreaking community sports hub to benefit people from all walks of life in Norwich and Norfolk.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the “On The Buzzer, City!” Quiz at Carrow Road to raise money for @NorwichCityCSF – an unbelievable charity.
Special mentions to #teamcsf for organising, @Forces2Canaries for winning, and team @canariestrust for finishing 6th! pic.twitter.com/6bf8Qpr8Jl
