Close to 150 fundraisers completed our Coastal Walk Challenge on Saturday.
The largest turnout the sold-out event has seen since it started in 2011, saw eight teams of walkers assembled for the Hunstanton to Cromer walk.
A week of wet weather mercifully concluded on the morning of the walk, giving the 148 walkers a dry 24-hours to complete the challenge.

The route took in 47-miles of the scenic Coastal Path, offering some spectacular views of the coastline, as well as some challenging terrain.
Among the challengers were teams from business partners of the Foundation such as Ashton’s Legal, Hugh J Boswell, Aviva, Riverside Leisure Centre and Holden Honda.

Emma Fletcher, Senior Fundraising & Events Manager, said:
“Every year, we are overwhelmed by the determination, grit and spirit of our walkers and volunteers, and this year was no different.
“It’s not an easy challenge to complete, and is incredibly tough not just physically but also emotionally. They all did so well, and it’s an amazing feeling to have a record number of walkers complete it this year.
“We couldn’t have done it without the dedication and support of our volunteers, staff, partners and of course, our sponsors Global Clinic Norwich.”
With the final amount raised for the Foundation to be raised in due course, the total currently stands at over £25,000.
The Foundation would like to thank Global Clinic Norwich for sponsoring the event, Cafe2U for supplying drinks at Morston, Swash Nosh for providing catering, Up & Running Treatments for physio support, Holkham Estate‘s Wells Beach Café for opening up out-of-hours, iPro Sport and Bidfood for supply energy drinks and water respectively, and The Grove Cromer for supplying post-walk food.
"What a fantastic experience. Uplifting and totally fulfilling. Fantastic organisation...same time next year?"
