With donations still coming in, we are delighted to reveal that over £60,000 has been raised by Community Sports Foundation fundraisers at Run Norwich 2019.
Around 320 “#TeamCSF” runners made up the record 6,199 runners field who ran our 10km road race on Sunday.
The total raised currently stands at an incredible £60,067.67.
Emma Fletcher, Senior Fundraising & Events Manager, said:
“I’m so proud of everyone – for finishing the race, and for helping to hit an incredible total. They all really deserved the pampering they got from us in their post-race CSF VIP area! This event really brings out the best out of everyone and the enthusiasm on race day from our runners was superb.”
Among the fundraisers, were corporate teams including Hugh J Boswell, Credo Asset Finance, Aviva, East Anglian Group, Selesti, Ford and Slater and Regency Security Group.
The Foundation would like to thank Riverside Leisure Centre, our #TeamCSF sponsors. Not only was their support to us invaluable, they also gave away some excellent incentives to the runners through the free use of their excellent gym and pool facilities.
To celebrate #TeamCSF’s achievements, Riverside Leisure Centre will be opening their swimming pool doors to all CSF runners on Sunday 18th August between 12pm-4pm.
Runners just need to show their race confirmation email or bib number to enjoy use of the swimming pool, and includes access for friends and family. Refreshments will be available, as well as a raffle.
The Foundation would also like to thank everyone that volunteered in the #TeamCSF post-race area or who manned our two cheers points on the route.
Money raised by CSF runners will be used to support the Foundation’s disabled and disadvantaged programmes, giving new and exciting opportunities to those who need it the most.
These include the Down’s Syndrome football team, Norwich City Powerchair Football Club, Disability Dance Club, Street Life Soccer, Premier League Kicks, and many more.
"This event really brings out the best out of everyone and the enthusiasm on race day from our runners was superb!"
