Over three immersive days, 24 young goalkeepers took part in the Foundation’s Goalkeeper Train Like a Pro Residential at The Nest, experiencing elite technical training, tactical workshops, and a behind‑the‑scenes tour of Carrow Road – all designed to replicate a professional development environment.
A standout moment came on Tuesday afternoon, when the group were joined by Norwich City goalkeepers Daniel Grimshaw and Caleb Ansen during their session. The pair took part in a Q&A, answering questions about their journeys, daily routines, and the mindset required to progress as a keeper. They then observed training drills and offered advice on shot‑stopping, positioning, handling, and decision‑making.
The visit finished with photos and autographs, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved and a special highlight of the residential at The Nest.
The residential also welcomed two Norwich City Academy goalkeepers, along with goalkeeping coach Jake Jessup, who delivered a specialist session for the group – adding another valuable learning opportunity across the three days.
