On Thursday 22nd January, Carrow Road played host to the return of the Norwich City Fans Social Club‘s Mental Health Awareness Evening.
With doors opening at 6.30pm, the Gunn Club at Carrow Road was soon full with the nights attendees, all intrigued to see what the latest Norwich City Fans Social Club event had to offer.
Host Darren Eadie was first to take to the stage, with Norwich City duo Jack Stacey and Liam Gibbs invited up to join him. The Canaries stars then gave those in attendance an in-depth insight into the importance of mental health within professional football, and how the modern game has adapted to place greater importance on the maintenance of good mental health.
The event also saw representatives from 32 mental health charities and support groups in attendance, offering guidance and information to anyone interested.
The evening’s proceedings concluded with the customary Community Sports Foundation raffle, with a group of lucky winners walking away with a series of prizes, which included various items of Norwich City themed merchandise.
Our thanks go out to all those who attended last weeks event – your contribution helps us to better our local community, providing further opportunities for the disabled and disadvantaged across Norfolk.
Thanks also to the Norwich City Fans Social Club for organising yet another fantastic event here at Carrow Road.
