Story added: 19th January 2022
New for 2022, we are now running monthly NCS Changemakers sessions. It’s all about learning skills, boosting your CV and making a difference in the community. The next session will take place on Wednesday 16th February (10am-3pm).
A monthly programme open to all 15 to 17-year-olds in Norfolk – you’ll gain new transferable skills which may open up the world of work and increase your employability!
With your fellow participants, you’ll design and deliver a social action project in your community – this year’s topic is sustainability, but it can be focussed on whatever takes your group’s fancy.
You’ll also take part in workshops and hear from Foundation staff about event and fundraising management, as well as wellbeing sessions.
You’ll see your passions turned into action, help the people around you thrive, get a better understanding of how your community works and what it needs, and create a more positive and sustainable future for everyone.
And on top of that, you’ll meet new people who think the same way you do, learn a lot about yourself, and gain a bunch of skills that’ll boost your personal development – think creativity, leadership, listening, teamwork, planning, problem solving, and project management – and look great on your CV!
To take part you’ll have to be 16 or 17 – however, you can also participate if you are 15 so long as you are in Year 11 at school.
It’s completely free!
Date – Wednesday 16th February (10am-3pm)
