Sunday 5th of February saw Norwich City Women club captain Millie Daviss and goalkeeper Bryony Williams unveil a new orchard at The Nest before their home league fixture against QPR.
The unveiling was done as part of Norwich City’s and the Foundation’s involvement in Green Football Weekend, an initiative led by Planet League incentivising fans to tackle climate change by taking on challenges to score ‘green goals’ for their club!
Our Premier League Kicks programme leads seized this opportunity to combine their fantastic sustainability work with the Kicks programme and the nationwide fight for climate action in football led by Planet League.
Accompanied by six of the participants that initially planted the trees in December, Millie Daviss and Bryony Williams cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the orchard to the public.
