Norwich City Community Sports Foundation are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with The Wensum Trust and Hellesdon High School, which will see the trust appointed as the Foundation’s Education partner.
The partnership will see the Trust provide support to the Foundation’s growing Football & Education Programme, and for the first time, enable students to choose an A-Level pathway within our Norwich based programmes.
CSF’s Head of Curriculum, Stevie Bramble commented:
“The partnership with The Wensum Trust is the step we’ve been looking at for some time, to be able to offer an A-level pathway to our provision means we are able to meet the needs of all students. The location of Hellesdon High school in relation to our training facility at The Nest makes it logistically possible, and a perfect fit.

The additional academic support we will receive from the Sixth Form Centre to our vocational programme will further enhance our already very strong learner outcomes.”
Tom Rolfe, the Principal at Hellesdon High School & Sixth Form Centre, added:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Community Sports Foundation as their main educational provider. We are always looking to expand our post-16 provision and given the location of The Nest, this is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved. The new A-level pathway will add an extra dimension to the already very successful vocational programme, giving students from across the county a greater choice”.
Through the partnership, students on the Football & Education programme will also benefit from the excellent facilities available at the High School, with the sports hall opening up the opportunity for players to add futsal into their training programme for the winter months.
Details on the application process for the 2019 programme will be released shortly.
