Corporate Cup 2025 Recap

On 18th September, ten local businesses returned to The Nest for the second part of the Foundation’s Corporate Cup.

In May, the teams had taken to the turf for the qualifying rounds of the competition, with September’s tournament meet now set to decide who would be taking home the silverware.

The early autumn weather had spirits high ahead of kick-off, with the ten competing teams all fancying their chances of lifting the much-coveted silverware.

Six hours of fine finishing and some superb saves eventually set up a ‘Champions League’ final between Pink Group and event sponsors Yellow Brick Mortgages, with the latter just falling short as the impressive Pink Group claimed a 2-0 victory.

However, Pink Group weren’t the only team to clinch victory on the day – the league style format meant the watching crowds were treated to a second final, this time in the ‘Europa League’.

Engineering group Volkerfitzpatrick had played good football throughout the day but would ultimately fall short in their final, as real estate group JLL stormed to a 4-0 win.

In total, 2025’s Corporate Cup raised over £4000 for the Foundation – a truly incredible amount. Thanks to the support of event sponsors Yellow Brick Mortgages and all participating teams, we will continue being able to grow and improve our charity and the fantastic community work we do.

Events Manager Paul Hunter was full of praise for this year’s event:

“Once again our Corporate Cup has delivered – there was some amazing football out there. More importantly, we’ve come together to help better our community, raising vital funds. Well done to everyone involved.”

The date for 2026’s Corporate Cup will be announced soon – keep your eyes peeled!
