Event brought best local comedy talent to Foundation for one night only

There were laughs aplenty last Friday evening, as the first ever Community Sports Foundation comedy night came to The Nest.

A bumper audience of 100 guests filled the Engage space for the event, which was put on in partnership with the local comedy club, Hooma.

All the acts – which included headliner Trish Dunn, Bimi, Aaron Spalding, Martin Westgate and MC Kahn Johnson – gave their time for free to support the Foundation.

The total raised through ticket sales, raffle and the bar was £1,870, which as part of the #BuildTheNest campaign will be match funded by Norwich City Football Club.

Emma Fletcher, Senior Fundraising & Events Manager, said:

“It’s great to hold fundraising events such as these at The Nest, because everyone can see first-hand where their money goes.

“A massive thank you to everyone who attended, but especially to our comedians who all gave their time for free. It is definitely something we would like to organise again in the future.”
