Family Fun Day at Lotus HQ

Sunday 3rd August saw the Community Sports Foundation family come together at the iconic Lotus Headquarters for a special celebration following the club’s recent achievement as EFL Community Club of the Season 2025.

The Family Fun Day proved a fantastic occasion for supporters, participants, staff and partners alike to come together and enjoy a mixture of games, entertainment, delicious food and, of course, the legendary Lotus cars.

Kicking off the morning’s activities was the job of the Lotus Eletre, Emaya and Emira. These impressive cars demonstrated their thrilling speed on the south circuit of the test track before pulling up to allow visitors to get an up-close look at the engineering and craftsmanship behind the brand. One of the standout attractions was that the Lotus Emira on display was the 10,000th model off the production line and adorned with the names of every Lotus employee involved in its creation.

The day’s biggest cheers were reserved for the Foundation’s own participants, who took to the South Circuit for Lap Lotus, an inclusive fundraiser encouraging every participant to lap the track in their own way. Be that on balance bikes, scooters, wheelchairs, running or walking, our brilliant fundraisers clocked up as many laps as personally challenging to them. The event was set in motion in style by one of the youngest participants, Alfie, who proudly led the way on his balance bike.

In total the Lap Lotus challenge raised a fantastic £2500 for the Foundation, helping to support its mission of inspiring and improving the lives of people in the local community through the power of sport.

Roxanne Bates, Events Manager at the Community Sports Foundation, said:

“It was brilliant to see so many of our participants, families, colleagues, and supporters come together. The effort from our Lap Lotus participants was inspiring, and the generosity shown will make a real difference to our work. Thank you to everyone who came along, joined in, and supported the day.”

The Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to Lotus for the use of their world-class facilities and access to their stunning cars, and to Hugh J Boswell for the value support of the event.
