A handful of National Citizen Service (NCS) summer grads will be guests at Norwich City’s home clash against Nottingham Forest this evening, as the Canaries show their support for the #NCSMatchDay takeover.
Tonight is part of a national movement of NCS which has had huge impacts on young people and local communities.
To date, over 300,000 young people have completed the programme and 1.9 million hours of social action has taken place across the country, the equivalent to building 74 Olympic Stadiums and 1 Great Wall of China.
NCS is delivered by the Club’s official charity partner, the Community Sports Foundation (CSF), across the Eastern region.
Participants enjoy a number of fun-filled team activities while away on a residential retreat, before returning to help local charities raise money through various different community-based events.
Jenna Cannell NCS Engagement Manager commented:
“I would encourage any young person to take part in NCS. It is a unique opportunity where you can develop life and employability skills, make new friends and have lots of fun.”
