Many hours of training have paid off for two local fundraisers, who have helped raise hundreds of pounds for the Community Sports Foundation (CSF).
Lee Wicks and Phil Wright (pictured above) from Norfolk successfully completed the Manchester Marathon and Brighton Marathon respectively earlier this month.
The pair have raised over £800 for the Foundation, which will help to improve the lives of disadvantaged and disabled people throughout Norfolk.
Wicks completed the marathon in 4:27 while Wright finished with a time of 4:21. Both were overjoyed with the support from close friends and family.
Wright, Contracts Manager at Riverside Leisure Centre said: “We’re so grateful to everybody who has helped us to raise this amount.
“It is great to support this fantastic charity which strives to help those in need achieve their goals through sport.”
The Marathons join the growing list of charity events that will be taken on by local fundraisers this year to help support the Foundation.
