What is a 3G pitch?

What is a 3G pitch?

3G pitches, or also known as artificial or synthetic pitches, consist of plastic fibres combined with a rubber crumb infill. 3G pitches have many advantages compared to their grass pitch counterparts, such as:

  • Weather-friendly – 3G pitches can be played on all weather conditions
  • Great for all year use
  • Can help reduce the risk of injury
