Foundation Football Teams Tour
Throughout the Easter holidays, our respective Foundation football teams embarked on a football tour of fun across the south coast and into Belgium. Here’s a little recap of what they got up to…
AND THEY’RE OFF – The group departed The Nest in the morning of April 3rd and began to embark on their European tour! First stop, Bournemouth.

The respective teams arrive safely at their destinations, just in time for some afternoon bowling before heading to their accommodation.

The following day they were up bright and early for a big breakfast ahead of their trip to Brighton!

An A+ day at The Amex was then followed by friendly against Albion in the Community, Brighton and Hove Albion’s own Community Foundation.

The boys then enjoyed a series of great games against the Russell Martin Foundation’s representative sides on April 5th.

It was then time for some sand, in the form of Bournemouth Beach, before a visit to the Vitality. The girls had a great morning at the beach before heading into fixtures against Swindon Foundation. The boys made a quick stop at the Bournemouth club shop before heading to Southampton.

It was then time to cross The Channel, landing in Belgium.
The U16 Girls got the tour fixtures underway, with some great fan support by the U14s. They faced a strong Club Brugge containing a number of players who had represented their country!
The second girls game today was for the U14s against SV Zulte Waregem, who created a fantastic experience for the players as they emerged from the tunnel to music and a roaring reception.
The boys were hosted by KSV Bredene, with good performances all round.
The morning of April 13th gave the teams a little rest bite from fixtures to enjoy a stadium tour at Club Brugge’s Jan Breydal Stadium. The students were educated on the team’s history and future plans for the club.

After the stadium tour, the boys would play KV Oostende who gave them fantastic learning experiences, fielding a strong side.

The girls crossed the border to France and faced off against USL Dunkerque in a tight and competitive game.

The tour would come to an end after the U13 boys were invited to play Club Brugge at their training ground outside the stadium. They put in a great performance to round off the tour!
