Story added: 10th February 2021
FC Live returns later this month, with the focus of the session being what you can do to ‘develop yourself as a coach’.
We’re delighted to welcome special guest Ben Bartlett (@BenBarts), Fulham FC’s Head of Academy Coaching.
The workshop will take place online on Wednesday 24th February (8.00pm, via Zoom), and is completely free. Sign-up now.
Ben will talk about his role at the West London club, and how he works to develop the club’s coaches.
He’ll also cover what coaches can do to gain experience and skills, and what is needed to be a great coach.
About Ben
Having spent 12 years as a coach and player developer at Colchester United & Chelsea, Ben joined The Football Association in 2007 and worked as part of a small team in transforming coach education in England across both grass-roots and the professional game.
This included sustained time working ‘on the ground’ in a number of professional football clubs, along with some national coaches. He graduated with an MSc and holds a UEFA Pro Licence.
Ben started his current role at Fulham FC in May 2019, and works closely with both the Head of Player Development and Phase Managers to support coaches and develop their coaching in line with the perceived needs of the players.
