Teams from across the country enjoy tournament at The Nest

Last week The Nest played host to a five-day football tournament featuring youth teams from around England and Wales.

Representative teams from Premier League, Football League and Non-League clubs across the country enjoyed Canary Cup action on The Nest’s grass & 3G pitches.

On Monday, pan-disability U16 teams from the Manchester United FoundationMK Dons SET, Wolves Foundation, Albion in the Community, City in the Community, Arsenal Foundation, Middlesborough Foundation, The Albion Foundation and the Aston Villa Foundation joined the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation at The Nest.

Tuesday through Friday then saw boys’ and girls’ development teams of various age groups compete for the silverware.

Other visiting teams during the week included; Watford CSE, York City Foundation, Kings Lynn, Colchester FITC, QPR in the Community, Crawley Town Foundation, Cardiff Foundation, Kettering Community Trust, Reading Community Trust and Haverhill Rovers.

Friday also saw a very special guest on display, as the Premier League trophy stopped off on its PL30 tour around the country, celebrating 30 years of Premier League football.
