On Friday, the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) welcomed Stalham High School as our latest ‘Community Hub’.
Special guest Ryan Walsh, who recently claimed the British boxing Featherweight title, and is a CSF ambassador, joined staff and pupils at the school to mark the occasion.
The partnership will see a variety of programmes and community schemes delivered at the North Norfolk high school by the Foundation.
These include Premier League 4 Sport, which provides weekly sports activities and education workshops, plus the PL Enterprise programme which develops students’ business skills using Norwich City Football Club as an engagement tool.
Following the launch ceremony, Stalham High School headteacher Amy Webb said:
“We pride ourselves on being a learning community and recognise that not all learning is academic; the rich variety of additional opportunities available to our students helps them get the most out of their time at school and we are delighted that the partnership with CSF will strengthen our provision further.”
A signed shirt was presented to the school by Ryan Walsh on behalf of CSF (pictured above) and Norwich City tickets were given to the Year 11 student-led football team as a reward for their outstanding performances.
Stalham High School becomes the ninth CSF Hub to be launched in Norfolk and the second this year after Ormiston Academy was launched by Norwich City CEO David McNally in February.
