Former Canaries Daryl Sutch, Paul McVeigh, and Robert Ullathorne are the latest additions to the Norwich City Legends team for the upcoming match against Inter Forever.
The trio amassed a combined total of over 700 appearances in their time at Carrow Road and will join a host of City favourites and all-time Inter Milan greats on May 20 to celebrate 25 years since the Canaries’ memorable run to the third round of the UEFA Cup.
Sutch and Ullathorne were both part of Mike Walker’s squad as City made their mark in Europe in 1993 with a run that included victory over German giants Bayern Munich.
Defender Daryl Sutch made a total of 352 appearances for Norwich City and featured in the home and away legs against both Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
Left-side player Robert Ullathorne played the full 90 minutes against Inter Milan in the San Siro as the Canaries’ gallant run came to an end. Ullathorne made a total of 115 appearances for the club.
Paul McVeigh made 246 appearances over two spells with City and helped the club to the Division One title and promotion to the Premier League in the 2003/2004 season.
The match against Inter Forever is proudly supported by club Community Partner Aviva and will raise funds to build the Community Sports Foundation’s new hub, ‘The Nest’.
Already confirmed to appear for the Italian giants are legendary ‘keeper Francesco Toldo, Javier Zanetti, World Cup winner Marco Materazzi, and 1993 squad member Nicola Berti with new additions to be announced very shortly.
