All you need to know ahead of the tournament at The Nest

2022 marks the twenty-first edition of the Summer Cup tournament, and the second to be held at The Nest.

The event is split across two days; Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th July. Scroll down to check out all you need to know ahead of your team’s big day.

Directions & parking

Parking at this year’s Summer Cup is restricted, so we are encouraging teams to car-pool as much as possible.

To help us to manage car parking, please ensure the following:

If you are arriving from the City (northbound along the A140), please park at the main car park at The Nest – overflow parking will also be available and sign-posted.

Disability parking: Please use The Nest main car park regardless of approach direction, and please inform car park attendants on arrival for any assistance required. Disabled spaces will be clearly sign-posted.

When exiting the main car park at The Nest, please remember to exit to the left only.

Format

Saturday 23rd July

U7 – 5-a-side (max. squads of 8)

U9 – 7-a-side (max. squads of 10)

U11 – 9-a-side (max. squads of 12)

Sunday 24th July

U8 – 5-a-side (max. squads of 8)

U10 – 7-a-side (max. squads of 10)

U12 – 9-a-side (max. squads of 12)

Food & drinks

A large selection of hot and cold food and refreshments will be available on site across the two days. There will be a BBQ on site, as well as healthy and vegetarian options served from The Hub Cafe.

There’ll also be tuck shops, ice cream and Green Farm Coffee.

Photography

Each team will receive a free team photo via email after the event.

Spectator behaviour

All clubs are expected to manage the behaviour of their own supporters & spectators.

As per previous years, no smoking, drinking or dogs (aside from guide dogs) are allowed on site.
