Tournament to take place at The Nest over four days
There’s a brand new venue for the twentieth annual Summer Cup, which will take place over four days at The Nest.
Our prestigious festival of football, which debuted in 2000 and last year welcomed over 2,000 boys and girls in 230 teams, will take place on Sunday 23rd June, Saturday 29th June and Sunday 30th June. An invite-only disability tournament will take place on Saturday 22nd June.
For the first time, the tournament will be hosted at the Foundation’s new community hub The Nest, located near Norwich Airport in Horsford.
Entry for the tournament will open on Monday at 10am, and places are expected to sell-out fast.
Schedule
Saturday 22nd June: Disability (invite only)
Sunday 23rd June: U7s, U8s
Saturday 29th June: U9s, U10s
Sunday 30th June: U11s, U12s
Format
The format for the U9-U12 tournaments is unchanged from previous years, and will be group stages & knock-out.
The U7s and U8s will enjoy a non-competitive tournament, with every participant receiving a medal.
There are no U6, U13 and U14 tournaments this year.
The tournament is open to clubs of all ability but they must be affiliated to a County FA. No elite or commercial/franchised organisations may enter.
