Villa ground collection to raise funds for the Foundation
Norwich City’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Aston Villa will include a half time pitch parade from U16 disability teams representing the Canaries and the Villans.
The parade is to celebrate the Community Sports Foundation’s extensive work in the community, which includes initiatives such as:
- Providing sport and respite care for people with a range of disabilities
- Helping homeless and disadvantaged people to get healthy and into work
- Providing education and life skills for young people
- Supporting people recovering from Cancer with social and physical activity sessions
- Helping children and their families to stay active and learn about nutrition
After the game, the two sets of players will play an exhibition match over at Carrow Park and spectators are extremely welcome.
From 10:30am, volunteers will be collecting outside the stadium to help with the Foundation’s fundraising.
Recently, a campaign was launched to raise £2.5m to help build ‘The Nest’ – a new community hub in Horsford that will allow the Foundation to reach a further 12,000 people a year.
On May 20, a Norwich City Legends team will take on Inter Forever, with the proceeds from the match to go towards the ‘Build The Nest’ campaign.
Tickets are available online and from the Ticket Office, and Castle Mall and Chapelfield stores.
