Nutri-Fit Norfolk
Weight management provision for 14 to 18 year olds
The Nutri Fit Norfolk project has been running since 2008 thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund. The project aims to assist young people aged 14 to 18 years old who have issues with their weight. Working in partnership with the paediatric nutrition and dieticians department at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, young people are educated and upskilled whilst being introduced and engaged in physical exercise.
Three-day residential camps are held for up to 20 young people to attend at one time. Camps usually consist of nutrition workshops, confidence and self esteem workshops, team building activities, meal preparation and practical cooking skills along with lots of exercise. Monthly catch-up sessions are also held for young people to keep in touch with each other, and for their progress to be monitored and new goals/targets set.
Young people can access the project by contacting the CSF office on 01603 761122 or by email.
