Representative Squads

Representing your local professional football club is an ambition for any footballer, and we are been fortunate enough to run representative squads within the following groups:

• Adult Pan-Disability 'Premier League' Level;
• Adult Pan-Disability 'League' Level;
• Under-18 Centre of Excellence;
• Under-14 Centre of Excellence;
• Powerchair Football;
• Deaf Adults;
• Deaf Children;
• Downs Syndrome.

Through the other programmes we run we are able to select our elite disabled footballers and give them the opportunity to represent Norwich City Football Club.

Our adult Pan-Disability squads have been very successful in the past and have won the Eastern Region Ability Counts League on two occasions and have gone on to represent NCFC at the National Finals. Our Under-18 and Under-14 Centre of Excellence squads play six festivals a year across the South East and Midlands. Our Powerchair team train on a regular basis and play in the national league, currently held in Kettering, while the deaf teams have played against Ipswich Town and Northampton Town.

The Downs Syndrome team, run in partnership with DSActive, is the newest addition to our representative squads. The squad will train on a regular basis and play fixtures against other DSActive teams from across the country.

Through the success of these squads we have had four players go on and represent England within their impairment, which is a fantastic achievement for both the individuals and the programme.
