Step On

A two week course to help support 16 to 18 year olds into their next steps through foundation learning and exploring career pathways

Step On is a two-week programme run in conjuction with Norfolk County Council Adult Education Advice and Guidance and the Blue Cat Initiative.

The programme, which began in October 2010, targets 16 to 18 year olds who are unsure of what there next step is, whether it be going into employment, an apprenticeship, further training or education.

Over the two weeks of the programme, the young people get to asses their situations, understand the skills they possess, whilst having the opportunity to express themselves by trying various workshops which give an insite into a particular trade or employment route.

By the end of the fortnight the young people are able to have a clear idea of what further foundation learning they would like to pursue, whilst picking up a NOCN award for the skills they have developed.
